# Run Return on Strategic Assets in StratEngine

> Assess how well a company's brand, talent, IP, data and other strategic assets pay off, and where to reinvest, in StratEngine.

Return on Strategic Assets in StratEngine looks at the assets that give your company its edge, such as brand, talent, IP, customer base, data and distribution, and asks how much return each one produces. It then suggests which to strengthen and where to shift investment. It needs the Professional plan or pay-as-you-go.

<Note>
  Return on Strategic Assets carries the **Advanced** badge. It's included on the Professional plan and higher, and pay-as-you-go accounts can run it per analysis. On other plans its card shows **Upgrade** instead of **Select**. See [Strategy plans](/docs/strategy/billing/plans) and [pricing](https://stratengineai.com/#pricing).
</Note>

## When to use it

* You suspect an asset, such as a brand or a customer base, is underused.
* You're deciding where to invest a limited budget between building assets and using the ones you have.
* You want an inventory of what differentiates the company before a planning cycle.

## What you get

The **Components** tab has a **Framework Summary** and these **Framework Details** sections:

* **Asset Inventory**
* **Asset Productivity**
* **Asset Strengthening**
* **Reallocation Opportunities**

Every section is editable, and **Sources** lists what the analysis cited. Standard and Deep runs also fill the **Momentum** tab (trends affecting the company), which means Essential and higher plans, or pay-as-you-go at Standard or Deep. Deep runs add the **Assumptions** tab (what the analysis depends on, by risk), which means Professional, or pay-as-you-go at Deep. See [Work with framework results](/docs/strategy/framework-results) and [Analysis depth](/docs/strategy/analysis-depth).
