# Run SIPOC in StratEngine

> Map one business process from suppliers to customers with SIPOC in StratEngine, and see what the editable output includes.

SIPOC in StratEngine maps a single business process end to end: who supplies it, what goes in, the steps, what comes out and who receives it. Use it to see the boundaries and handoffs of a process before you try to improve it. It needs the Essential plan or higher, or pay-as-you-go.

<Note>
  SIPOC carries the **Growth** badge. It's included on the Essential plan and higher, and pay-as-you-go accounts can run it per analysis. On the Free plan its card shows **Upgrade** instead of **Select**. See [Strategy plans](/docs/strategy/billing/plans) and [pricing](https://stratengineai.com/#pricing).
</Note>

## When to use it

* A process such as onboarding, order fulfillment or product development has slow or unclear handoffs.
* You're about to redesign or automate a process and need to agree on where it starts and ends.
* A new team member or client needs a one-page view of how a process works.

## What you get

The **Components** tab has a **Framework Summary** and one **Framework Details** section for each part of the map:

* **Suppliers**
* **Inputs**
* **Process**
* **Outputs**
* **Customers**

Every section is editable, and **Sources** lists what the analysis cited. Standard and Deep runs also fill the **Momentum** tab (trends affecting the company), which means Essential and higher plans, or pay-as-you-go at Standard or Deep. Deep runs add the **Assumptions** tab (what the analysis depends on, by risk), which means Professional, or pay-as-you-go at Deep. See [Work with framework results](/docs/strategy/framework-results) and [Analysis depth](/docs/strategy/analysis-depth).

## Run it

  <Step title="Fill in the business context">
    Complete the **Business Context** fields. See [Generate a framework](/docs/strategy/generate-framework) for what each one asks.

    Under **Framework Inputs (Optional)**, SIPOC asks for **Primary Process Focus**, **Process Scope**, **Current Process Steps**, **Key Stakeholders Involved** and **Process Pain Points**. Name the process in **Primary Process Focus**. Without it, the analysis has to guess which process you mean.

    Click **Continue**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate">
    On pay-as-you-go, pick an **Analysis depth**. Then click **Generate Framework**.
  </Step>
