Analysis depth sets how much work StratEngine puts into an analysis. Quick Scan takes about 2 minutes, Standard about 4 and Deep about 8, and each step up adds to what the analysis includes. Free plans run Quick Scan, Essential adds Standard, and Professional and pay-as-you-go include all three.
Which depths you can pick depends on your plan. Depths your plan doesn’t include show a lock. On pay-as-you-go, every depth is available and each has its own price.

What each depth adds

Every depth produces a complete analysis. When you pick a depth, the card under the options shows the time and what it includes. The card is the same in Strategy Builder, the strategy brief form and the single-framework form. The times are the app’s estimates. A run can finish sooner or take longer.

Which plans include each depth

For plan prices and per-run prices, see stratengineai.com/#pricing. Inside the app, pay-as-you-go prices appear on each depth option and on the Run Analysis button.

Which depth is selected to start with

  • Subscription plans: the deepest depth your plan includes. On Professional, that’s Deep.
  • Pay-as-you-go: Quick Scan, the lowest-cost option. Pick a deeper one if you want it.
You can change the depth right up until you click Run Analysis. Changing it in the review panel doesn’t restart the conversation.

Locked depths

A locked depth shows a padlock and the tooltip Upgrade to unlock. Clicking it opens a dialog that names the depth (for example Deep analysis · ~8 min) and lists what you’d get. Click View plans to upgrade, or Not now to close it. What View plans does depends on your account:

Choosing a depth

  • Quick Scan suits a first look, a quick sense check, or a question you’ll come back to.
  • Standard suits most planning work where you’ll act on the recommendations.
  • Deep suits decisions you’ll take to a board, client or investor, where specialist views and tested assumptions matter.
On pay-as-you-go, the depth you pick is the price you pay, so it’s worth matching it to the stakes.
