A SWOT run in StratEngine answers a simple question for the company you describe: what it does well, where it’s exposed, and what outside forces could help or hurt it. SWOT is a Foundational framework, so it’s included on the Free plan and every plan above it.
SWOT is available on Free, Essential and Professional plans, and on pay-as-you-go. See Strategy plans.

When to use it

  • You need a first, balanced read on a company before you go deeper with a more specific framework.
  • You’re preparing for a planning session and want internal and external factors on one page.
  • You’re sizing up a competitor, acquisition target or client and want a quick structured view.
  • You want a starting point for a strategy brief that you can edit and build on.

What you get

The Components tab opens with an Executive Summary, then four sections under Framework Details:
  • Strengths
  • Weaknesses
  • Opportunities
  • Threats
A Sources list shows what the analysis cited. Standard and Deep runs also fill the Momentum tab (trends affecting the company), which means Essential and higher plans, or pay-as-you-go at Standard or Deep. Deep runs add the Assumptions tab (what the analysis depends on, by risk), which means Professional, or pay-as-you-go at Deep. See Work with framework results and Analysis depth.
